An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced night Care Assistant to support residents within our Dementia unit.
Based at Dunkirk Memorial House, you will work within a team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the unit and in delivering person centred care in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence and well being. At Dunkirk we have an ethos of embracing where our Residents are on their dementia pathway; to reflect this our specialised dementia unit (The Mews) is a very vibrant place full of sensory stimulation promoting meaningful occupation. To assist our Residents with adjusting between night and day our Night Staff wear pyjamas!
Requirements
Ideally you will be educated to NVQ level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care equivalent, or working towards this award. You should have previous experience of working in a Care Home with a vulnerable client group. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential and an enthusiasm to learn and develop within this role is required.
Note: Salary includes Night shift allowance of £0.90 per hour.
