Job Title: Care Assistant

The Client: HSCNI – Western Trust
The Role:
- To provide safe, effective care with compassion.
- To provide care that is resident focused whilst ensuring that residents' dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
- To work to recognised standards, including RQIA and Apex Policies and Procedures.
- To provide, where appropriate, personal assistance to residents such as bathing, washing, toileting, dressing, feeding etc. whilst ensuring the privacy, dignity and rights of residents are maintained
- To observe and report to Nurse Manager / Staff Nurse changes in residents' health, wellbeing and behaviours.
- To report to the Nurse Manager / Staff Nurse untoward incidents, e.g. falls, accidents, unexplained injuries,
- To report any concerns re possible abuse of service users immediately to the nurse in charge.
- To report to the Nurse Manager / Nurse in Charge any complaints, compliments (written or verbal) and maintain a record of same.
Hours of work: Flexible working hours
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience care in a formal setting
- A minimum of 2 GCSE/GCE Grade A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Or
- NVQ Level 2 in a Care Award or equivalent
NI Residents only will only be considered

Rates of pay available:
£10.42- Basic (6am-8pm)
£14.69 -Unsocial 1 rate (after 8pm-6am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday)
£19.07 - Unsocial 2 rate (all day Sunday & Public/Bank Holiday)
Successful candidates will need to apply for an Enhanced Access NI Certificate with Staffline regardless if you already have a valid certificate. It will be a cost to you for £33.
