The Home
Chestnut Lodge Care Home situated in Benburb, Dungannon. Nursing Home with maximum of 42 Service Users. Categories of Care: - Dementia, Old age not falling within any category, physical disability other than sensory impairment.
The Role
This role involves assisting the operations of a catering service within Healthcare Ireland unit with particular emphasis on the movement, storage and preparation of food within the unit.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
- Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
You will need:
- Catering, kitchen or food preparation experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Excellent communication skills
