Location: Glasgow (West End), G3 8AG.
Salary: £10.90 per hour.
Contract: Various contracts available - Full and Part Time. Shift pattern is long days - 8am until 8pm.

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Let us introduce you to Mary, Anne and Margaret:

Mary, Anne and Margaret share a home together in the heart of Glasgow's West End.

Mary loves being outdoors, going for walks in the local park (especially on those rare sunny days in Scotland!) and feeding the ducks and squirrels. A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Mary has all the essentials she needs, or even just to have a wander around her local community. In her downtime, Mary enjoys listening to music, creating art and watching films. Mary receives support 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Anne loves all things relating to fashion; getting her hair and nails done, keeping up with current trends and trying the latest make up routines! A typical day for Anne could be going to an exercise class, attending social groups or participating in a dance class. In her downtime, Anne enjoys a good blether, watching tv or doing arts and crafts. Anne receives support 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Margaret loves shopping and updating her wardrobe with all things glitz and glam and the accessories to match. A typical day for Margaret could be going to the shops for a browse or a walk around the local community or local parks. In Margaret's downtime, she enjoys doing word search puzzles, watching the music channels or chatting with her housemates. Margaret receives support 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Sadly, it's not always possible for Mary to enjoy what many people would consider these 'simple pleasures' without proper, dedicated support and that is why Mary, Ann and Margaret need you! Will you bring your best so that Mary, Ann and Margaret can live their best life?
