Carers – £12.40 per hour - 06.00am to 09.00am and 18.00pm to 23.00pm and £12.00 per hour - 09.00am to 18.00pm + Travel Time + Mileage Claim Allowance paid through HMRC (45p per mile travelled)

The Role

The successful candidate does not need prior experience or qualifications, as we are happy to work with you to help you become an excellent Care Worker and gain qualifications whilst doing so.
The key responsibilities of a Carer include, but are not limited to:
· Personal Care: Assist with personal care including showering, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing / undressing and all aspects of personal grooming; assist with toileting, mobility and transfers using correctly any specialised equipment; administering prescribed medication, as directed.
· Domestic Care: Undertaking domestic duties such as preparing meals, cleaning, attending to laundry, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
· Social Care: Talking with the client.

The key skills and qualities of a Carer:
· The successful candidate will have a commitment to quality and being the best, treating the people we support with compassion.
· Naturally compassionate; possessing the communication skills and manner needed to provide emotional and mental support.
· Excellent time-keeping and reliability; good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and smart appearance; good stamina and fitness levels to meet the physical demands of the job.
· Key requirements: a driving license with own transportation, the candidate must also meet regulatory training standards; obtain a satisfactory criminal record check; evidence that your name is not listed as barred from working with vulnerable people.
· Desirable: a relevant care and/or health qualification; previous experience as a care assistant; ability to recognise abuse and safeguarding procedures; working knowledge of health and safety matters relating to home care.
