Hours

0715-1515* Monday to Friday [*there is the flexibility for a slightly earlier finishing time by agreement with the successful candidate]
This is a full-time post and, for the avoidance of doubt, is NOT a term-time only role
The nature of the post requires an element of flexibility in relation to working patterns to meet the needs of the School
Reduced hours/flexibility around working hours possible during School holiday periods by agreement
Two Saturday Open Mornings, one in October and one in April/May, dates advised one year in advance
Participation in an On-Call Rota for out-of-hours Fire or Intruder Alarm activation

Salary

The salary for this post is £22000 per annum and is pensionable.
Package DescriptionJob Purpose

To provide a safe environment for all users of the School Buildings and Grounds
To carry out caretaking and a wide range of site maintenance duties

The Caretaker will be directly responsible to the Finance Manager, whom failing the Principal. The post holder will be expected to work largely on his/her own initiative subject to the general and specific direction of the Finance Manager.

All members of School staff are subject to an enhanced background check through Disclosure Scotland and must be members of the PVG Scheme (the School will cover the cost of this)

Key skills

Proven experience and skills as a handyperson, these skills to include joinery, plumbing and basic electrical work
