We are currently looking to appoint a hardworking and flexible out-of-hours Caretaker & Maintenance Operative to join the Estates Team on a permanent basis reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator.
The successful candidate will have a multiskilled background, be proactive in approach, flexible, reliable, and a pragmatic decision maker.
Salary: £26,500 per annum.
On-site accommodation: A two-bedroom property is available at one third of rental value with paid Council Tax and Water bills for the on-call element of role. No pets are allowed unfortunately.
Other benefits include: Generous pension scheme, Benenden Healthcare, on-site parking, free lunches during term time and ongoing training and development opportunities.
Working hours: 27.5 hours per week.
- Typical term time hours: 14:30 – 20:30 (plus emergency after hours call until 7.00am)
- Includes a 30 minute unpaid break per working day.
- Typical school holiday hours: 13:00 – 19:00
- Weekend shift: one weekend in four on call. During the on call weekend you will be required to undertake a 30 minute walk around our campus and grounds and do a pool test each day.
In addition on Sunday, a 1 hour mini bus service for Boarders. During the weekend on call, you will be required to be within an hours driving distance from Bethany School.
