Nursling C of E Primary is a small, one-form entry school that is situated on the edge of the Test Valley.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable, well-motivated and practical person to attend to the security, safety, cleanliness, ground and general maintenance of the school site.

The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for Site security including the daily opening and closing of the school.
- Act as a key holder for the school and attend emergency call outs where necessary.
- Check the fire alarm system regularly, keeping accurate records.
- Complete regular checks and records to meet legislative Health and Safety requirements e.g. COSHH, legionella etc.
- Have the ability to undertake general DIY and repairs to the school premises and property.
- Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school, supervising cleaning staff and carrying out specific tasks.
- Monitor stocks and order supplies.
- Regular maintenance of the school site and grounds.
- Liaise with Contractors, Headteacher, Governors and School staff.
- Act in accordance with out Safeguarding policy and procedures.
- The ideal candidate should:
- Be reliable and flexible.
- Be able to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and contributing to the needs of the children and whole school team.
- Be able to communicate well.
- Be willing to attend training
