Job Introduction
To manage the day-to-day rostering activities for train crew and Passenger Services staff, supporting the delivery of a safe, reliable and Customer Focused train service, achieved through efficient forward planning of resources, proactive monitoring of the train service throughout the day, timely and accurate communication with relevant stakeholders and effective administrative and reporting processes.

Role Responsibility
- Produce efficient rosters for train crew and REO/RPO and Team Leaders within agreed production deadlines and distribute the rosters to train crew and other managers as required.
- Management of train crew ‘off track time’, including route and traction training, medicals and ad hoc leave.
- Review and feedback into Train Planning team on the accuracy and quality of train crew diagrams, rolling stock diagrams and master rosters both pre and post implementation.
- Maintaining and updating accurate train crew records for the depots, RM logs including records for annual leave, rest days, taxis’s and Sundays.
- Ensure the full handover of key information with other RMs as required.
- Support the development of efficient rosters at PA times.
- During times of severe disruption support the train crew management desks within the KICC.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role we recommend you demonstrate the below in your application;
Desirable:
- Thorough knowledge of conditions of service applicable to train crew.
- Vocational Qualification in management.
- Good knowledge of relevant IRMA functionality.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant Southeastern train service patterns coupled with a good understanding of Network Rail and/or HS1 geography.
- Awareness of train driving techniques, rules, instructions and Railway Group and Company standards.
- Supervisory or Management Experience.
