Job summary
The role is responsible for managing the Companies House bank accounts, and is responsible for the banking and cash management process. It ensures compliance with relevant internal controls and documented procedures.
The role ensures the preparation and timely submission of all cash forecasts for companies House and its associated Trust Statement.

Job description
- Reconciliation of all Companies House bank accounts, ensuring timely clearing of reconciling items.
- Monitoring bank account balances.
- Bank account creation, maintains the bank mandate.
- Liaising with the Finance Systems and Data team for bank transactional data timeliness and quality.
- Ensuring applicable banking controls are in place and are monitored
- Ensures cash forecasts are prepared and submitted, and liaises with Senior Financial Accountants, Finance Business Partners, and Finance Operations e.g. accounts payable for relevant data in their preparation
Person specification
Essential criteria;
Accounting experience, background knowledge of finance operations e.g. accounts payable.
Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships at all levels.
Have customer service empathy and focus.
Experience gained in a Finance position in a Finance section.
Technical skills:
An accounting qualification e.g. AAT, ACCA or part qualified status, or strong accounting experience or Finance Operations knowledge.
Strong excel skills
Desirable criteria;
Knowledge and experience of government accounting principles & processes.

You will be aligned to our Cardiff Office, where we are currently using a hybrid approach to the way we work. Our approach to hybrid working provides opportunities for you to be adaptable in the way you work so that you can achieve a healthy balance between your work and home life. The degree of choice you have will depend on business need, your role and your day-to-day work activities and will be discussed at offer stage.
