An opportunity has arisen to join our Accounts Receivable team, helping Staffordshire to face the issues currently challenging local government.
Our Accounts Receivable team provides a range of services with the aim of achieving the efficient and effective collection of income and the enablement of good financial management.
Main Responsibility
Main Responsibilities
You will play a key role in the Cash Receipting Team, whose role centres around the timely receipting of cash from various payment methods and includes:
- Providing specialist support and advice to directorate Debt Recovery Teams, SCC services and other bodies such as academies.
- Management of SCC e-payments systems and collections, corporate collections via Direct Debits, management of bankruptcies and referred to drawer cheques.
- Maintenance of reconciliations.
- Maintenance of customer and transaction records.
- Transmission of collection files.
- Responding to all enquiries from internal and external customers relating to payments.
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate
You'll be:
- a team player able to effectively and efficiently process and reconcile large volumes of income to tight deadlines.
- have good numeric and literacy skills and be effective in the use of Office 365 and in particular capable of retrieving and manipulating information for the production of reports.
- Experience of producing financial reconciliations.
- AAT part/fully qualified or have relevant financial experience.
