Work location: County Hall, Oxford

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working

Contract type: Temporary for 12 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Officer.

You will be part of an 'always learning' team, striving to be the best we can be, supporting the diverse services across the county council and supporting evidenced based decision making.


About the role


You will be working with all services and partners ranging from Adults and Children Social Care to Public Health and key stakeholders and partners.


Applicants will have sound experience of working accurately with data to a high level, have the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise and be able to present and explain the data to a wide variety of audiences. Experience of working with research and data analysis tools, undertaking quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive clear outcomes, and experience of presenting and interpreting data analysis findings to a wide variety of audiences.

Do you enjoy researching and using data and evidence to improve and support decision making? Are you good at understanding the drivers behind systems and outcomes, and explaining your findings? Would you like to use those skills to improve public services for local people?
