Mott MacDonald Bentley have an opportunity for a Category Buyer to join us on the Anglian Water framework across the east of the country.
What will you be doing as our new Category Buyer?
Our Procurement team play a pivotal role in ensuring we purchase required goods and services at the right price, at the right time to the standards expected to support our varied and exciting operations and projects.
As our new Category Buyer, you’ll be responsible for the generating of purchase orders and contract numbers for goods and services across Water Recycling and Water programme areas. Tasked with contributing to outperformance against the Procurement ‘Whitebook’, you’ll drive efficiencies by bringing enthusiasm and innovation to our ways of working whilst building trusted and value-added relationships internally and externally.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the materials master codes in association with the materials catalogue.
- Ensure all orders are generated and issued to the key stakeholder within the agreed SLA’s (Supply chain provider and the Site team)
- Ensure that the description data inputted within CCMS (Cost Capital Management System) is correctly aligned to the materials catalogue or descripts the works being undertaken.
- Manage all age debt to minimise late payment to the supply chain.
- Working alongside the Expeditor, manage the timely delivery of Alliance goods within the agreed period whilst highlighting any potential performance issues both in delivery and communication.
- Ensure all orders are noted for expediting where appropriate.
- Undertake proactive and value-added stakeholder management activities by building knowledge of products and services of key internal and external individuals and groups.
