Category Insights Manager

We are partnered with a large UK FMCG business, home to many iconic brands and household names. With a strong ambition to become the market leaders in their categories, the Category Insight Manager’s role is crucial in providing data, insights and creative ideas for Trade PR activity.
The Category Insights Manager will:
- Be responsible for driving the use of Category Insight reporting throughout Commercial teams
- Manage key reporting for head office, using Power BI desktop to pull reports together
- Report on key data and insights for trade activity
- Will provide insightful analysis and comment to queries from brand marketers
- Manage the day-to-day account with an agency
Required skills and experience for the Category Insights Manager:
- Several years experience in FMCG and Category Development
- IT literacy: a high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Data literacy & numeracy: Strong analytical capability
- Strong time management capability: able to work proactively and independently, able to prioritise and a clear team player
- Strong interpersonal skills: including presentation, copywriting and facilitation skills
- Strong influencing skills: leadership, training, change management
- Experience working with NIQ Discover, Circana Unify, Kantar MyWorldpanel; and loyalty panels (dunnhumby / Nectar 360 etc) is preferrable
- Experience in Power BI desktop preferrable
