INTERIM CATEGORY MANAGER OPPORTUNITY IN ST. ALBANS - 12 MONTH FTC OUTSIDE IR35!

My client is currently looking for an experienced Interim Category Manager to hit the ground running and take ownership of one of its responsibility for the Above Ground Capital Delivery programmes (includes amongst others storage, pumps, MCCs)
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Development and execution of category strategies, including effectively supporting the forecasting, planning and awarding of contracts and framework agreements that support the Category and therefore the company’s requirements.
- Conducting Spend Analysis, Tender Analysis, Demand Analysis, Value Analysis & Spend Mapping
- Supplier Performance Monitoring against Contracts
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Supporting the procurement team and measuring performance against quantitative targets
- Recommend opportunities for potential savings
- Recommend implementation of contract arrangements to achieve savings
- Identify opportunities for improvement and for potential savings
Experience required:
- Preferably procurement experience in the public sector or other regulated industry.
- Essential understanding of NEC contracts
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with internal customers and suppliers
- Demonstrable experience of the strategic procurement process of utilities Capital Delivery, Works and Construction and associated systems and controls
- Management of the tender process, including analysis and evaluation
- Achieved or working towards MCIPS
The position also offers Hybrid working (2days max from office/3 days WFH) and a competitive day rate outside IR35.
