CAPEX Procurement Category Manager - Award Winning FTSE 250 FMCG Firm

My client is a FMCG giant. Consisting of some of the most famous brands around the world and with over 4,000 employees in over 100 countries, their £Multi-Billion revenue has placed them firmly in the FTSE 250 list. It is not just in the numbers where they have found success. Awards for "Best Manufacturer to Work for," "Footprint Sustainability" and "Network Diversity", means my client is looking to build a workforce for the future, and they want you to be a part of it.

They are offering a competitive base salary ranging from £50,000 - £60,000, alongside an enormous 20% bonus, which has paid out 9 times over the last 10 years. To assist with the commute to the office, and travelling to site, they offer a £6,500 car allowance. And finally, as my client is looking to the future, they are offering a share scheme, consisting of 2-4% of the salary, to allow you to be part of their commercial success.

You will work from their office based outside London for 2 days a week and will be expected to travel for site & supplier visits several times per month. You will join the Indirect Procurement Team, where you will manage the end-to-end procurement for CAPEX related spend, including planning, sourcing, contracting and negotiating, and supplier relationship management (SRM). In doing so you will:

• Unlock invaluable commercial insights within the dynamic CAPEX budget process, illuminating lucrative opportunities while mitigating potential risks.
• Lead the charge in orchestrating high-stakes commercial negotiations, both for established and emerging CAPEX ventures, ensuring alliance with the Procurement Policy.
• Collaborate with MRO and Engineering teams to ensure CAPEX supports their procurement strategies.
• Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with their esteemed network of suppliers, looking to optimise efficiency and sustainability while balance commercial benefit.

You will:

• Possess experience within CAPEX or a Category Manager procurement position, ideally within an FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Manufacturing organisation.
• Have familiarity with Engineering Contracts (Ex: MF/1, JCT, etc.)
• Be experienced in collaborating within cross-functional teams, ideally working with Legal and Engineering functions.
• Ideally be degree educated with a Procurement or Supply Chain qualification.
