About the role:
We are now looking to appoint a dynamic and effective Catering Assistant. The successful candidate will be supporting the preparation and cooking of a weekly menu (breakfast & lunch) to cater to our diverse school community. The role will include all aspects of food food service, kitchen hygiene and other duties associated with a busy school kitchen and food service operation. The working hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm including lunch break, Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK - Essential
- Have experience in a similar role within a school or the education sector, or other kitchen hospitality environment. - Desireable
- Be able to deal with minor incidents, first aid, and the personal health and hygiene of students.
- Possess strong oral communication skills with adults and children
- Be highly organised and efficient, capable of multi-tasking and working at pace.
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the role.
