KEY RESULT AREAS: Work as a Catering Supervisor organising own workload and that of Catering staff on a day to day basis in order to ensure the provision of a comprehensive Catering service. To participate in the recruitment and selection of staff, in adherence to South West Yorkshire NHS Foundation Trust Policies. To undertake staff development reviews in line with South West Yorkshire NHS Foundation Trust Policy ensuring that the individuals have a Personal Development Plan. Responsible for ensuring that Catering staff are trained in all Trust Policies and Departmental Procedures. Responsible for ensuring that all Catering staff are fully trained in Standard Operating Procedures and local work instructions. To participate in the Catering Supervisors group meetings providing input into the practical induction of Policies and Procedures and implement changes to working practices. To ensure that as a result Catering staff are made aware of South West Yorkshire NHS Foundation Trust Policies and Procedures including COSHH Legislation. To monitor the performance of Catering staff to ensure the required standards are achieved. Investigate and resolve any issues or complaints relating to hygiene and health and safety, completing any Datix forms as the responsible person. To prepare duty rotas allocating time off, authorising annual leave and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that staffing levels are maintained to provide the required provision of service. To monitor and record sickness. To undertake return to work and informal sickness interviews with staff. Report areas of concern to Line Manager. To report and record any maintenance issues in adherence to Estates Department procedures. Report areas of concern to Line Manager. To action any failures following the quality monitoring audits within specified timescales, reporting the outcome to nominated personnel. To undertake any operational kitchen duties as and required.
