Job Title: Central Data Steward (FTC)
Location: Chiswick, London (hybrid)
About the role:
We're hiring for a collaborative and proactive Central Data Steward who will play a key role in growing BSI’s Data Governance capability and make an impact to our Data Governance & Data Quality teams.
The role will operate across BSI’s enterprise-wide domains, supporting the implementation of the Data Governance framework and ensuring adherence to relevant data policies, standards, and guidelines.
You will drive the engagement of global operational teams to improve their understanding of our data, related policies and standards and initiate activity to cleanse and enrich their data, helping to address inaccuracies and improve the integrity of key data elements.
This is a full time, hybrid opportunity available on a 12 month fixed-term basis, where office attendance is on a business needs basis.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Data Governance activities across the BSI enterprise.
  • Support the operational implementation and adoption of the Enterprise Data Domains across BSI.
  • Ensure alignment of Data Governance policies to enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and guidelines.

  • Support the delivery of the Data Governance roadmap including implementation of the Governance Toolkit.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Experience in Data Stewardship, with proven experience in data governance framework and building business glossaries.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues.
  • Delivered business performance improvement through addressing data quality.
  • Broad understanding of a client’s journey in a service and product orientated organisation.
  • An analytical mind-set with excellent organisation skills and systematic approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
