With good previous experience of managing people, you will have the eye for detail that this role requires and the calm energy to keep everything running smoothly. Willing to turn your hand to a variety of tasks both routine and project based, you will not be fazed by the volume and pace of the role.
In a typical day you could be attending to a full inbox one minute, meeting a visitor the next, leading a team meeting or managing performance, then helping volunteers before maybe a stint at reception to cover absence or a walk around the site to check it's tidy and hazard free. Next on the list will be writing a piece for social media and compiling Excel data for a report deadline. You may need to interrupt this to attend to the hand-in of a dog. After this you will likely need to order some supplies and process invoices for payment before emptying the waste bins whilst all the time fielding telephone calls and queries. You won’t be bored but can you keep up? Being passionate about our cause may well be your motivation.
