£130K - £150K + Bonus + Equity

A CFO (Chief Financial Officer) is required for a high-growth, private equity-backed technology business with revenues in excess of £45M. The company has developed a strong international presence across 12 countries with its B2B software, which provides solutions to customers across the travel industry. As a member of the Board and reporting to the Managing Director, the CFO will have overall financial responsibility and a significant Board voice on broader commercial matters.
Overseeing the value creation story
- Partnering with the MD and investors to monitor and manage the business plan and drive the growth and performance of the business.
- Keeping a constant and disciplined grip on key financial levers, ensuring they are being fully optimised, and implementing a robust KPI framework to effectively measure key milestones in the Business Plan, with a focus on EBITDA and cash.
- Working with the MD to ensure appropriate and challenging targets are set and the business has robust supporting financial models to deliver them.
- Consistently provide constructive challenge and support to the MD and the Board, proactively identifying; and potentially taking responsibility for implementing operational improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to the MD on the execution of any bolt-on acquisitions.
Managing the financial performance of the company
- Preparing the financial objectives for the business, responsible for the annual budgeting process in line with the Business Plan, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Leading the design and provision of relevant and insightful financial and operating information and analysis to the Board on time (including monthly P&L, CF and BS) to Shareholders, giving a clear overview of business performance and fuelling commercial decision-making and strategic planning discussions.
- Assessing performance against the budget and long-term strategy provides financial input into key operational decisions.
- Developing and managing robust financial systems and controls, taking responsibility for risk and finance policies, multi-jurisdiction tax analysis, and planning and structuring.
- Leading cash and working capital management and managing the treasury requirements of the business to the best effect, including foreign exchange and hedging activities.
- Managing the annual audit process and ensuring rigorous compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Leading the finance team
- Leading the finance function to ensure that high standards of control and accountability are in place and the business is supported in the most effective way.
- Communicating with relevant stakeholders
- Communicating effectively to the Board and all shareholders.
- Where necessary, leading communications with and developing strong, long-term banking relationships.
- Leading communications with all external advisors concerning audit, tax, and insurance and ensuring compliance with all required reporting to relevant authorities
The person
- An (ACA) or equivalent from an audit / chartered accounting background
- A hands-on commercially focused finance leader with significant experience working with international high-growth, private equity businesses as a Finance Director or CFO
- M & A experience and a background of working for technology-focused companies will be highly advantageous.
