CFO – Real Estate Investment Management - OUR CLIENT is an established and successful Investment Manager focused on Living Real Estate. With a portfolio of well over a £billion and development and operational capability, they are working with development delivery partners to deliver diverse BTR portfolios of institutional quality with high levels of service and operations. Our Client has demonstrated their ability to create products of scale; they are well placed to move the business forward and have ambitious growth plans. As part of this, as they expand and focus on the next stage of delivery, they have solely instructed us to hire an experienced CFO.
THE ROLE’S REQUIREMENTS: Reporting to the CEO and Chair, the CFO will focus on amalgamating the corporate and investment finance functions and assume a leadership role, responsible for reviewing systems, team structure and implementing the growth plan and be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the finance function and its strategic growth including both corporate (including debt and treasury) and investment structures.
- Joining the Executive, Investment, Risk and Remuneration committees.
- Attending Board meetings, with a view to joining the Board in due course.
- Reviewing and responsible for the finance team structure and roles.
- Reviewing and responsible for the statutory, management, investor, and tax reporting for corporate and investment structures.
- Reviewing and overseeing accounting and related systems.
- Forming close working relationship with the CEO and Chair
- Building relationships and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
THE PERSON’S AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the CFO role:
- An ACA qualified - ideally from a leading accounting firm.
- Experience in Real Estate Investment Management (development, investment and operations) and /or experience of operational Real Estate.
- Debt and treasury - procurement and management.
- Managing a team and reporting functions.
- Leading or being part of a team leading business growth.
- Desire to play a leading role in the growth of a market leading business.
- Ability to form strong working relationships and influence colleagues and staff.
- A good communicator internally and externally.
- Willingness to lead and be ‘hands on’.
- Commercial approach.
