Your role: This role is within the News UK Finance team. It is a hybrid working model however there will need to be travel to both the London Head Office and our Peterborough Office. Interaction will also be with people in other Finance teams across the globe, including Dow Jones and News Australia.

As Change Management and Communications Analyst , your role will be to support the programme’s Change Management and Communications agenda, embedding this transformational change into News UK, and critically taking News UK colleagues on this important journey.

This role is a once in a career opportunity to play a role on a transformational Finance Systems project.News UK is in the process of investing in and transforming our Finance Systems landscape. We will not only be moving our core ERP system to S/4 HANA, but also implementing new additional systems including those for Procurement, Contingent Workforce and various other activities.

Day to day you will:

Supporting the Business Change Lead and Change & Communication Managers deliver the Change Management Strategy for the Finance Transformation Programme including:

  • Carrying out business impact assessments, maintaining business impact assessment tracker, producing business impact assessment reports, with support from Business Change Managers.

  • Producing and maintaining change mitigation plans and assessing effectiveness of change mitigation activities.

  • Working closely with the Business Change Managers in developing, delivering, and recording stakeholder engagement plans including building and fostering a business wide change network.

  • Inputting into and maintaining communication plans.

  • Producing communication materials, such as Newsletters, emails, intranet articles, posters, infographics, or even videos. Obtaining relevant approvals, delivering communications to stakeholders and assessing effectiveness.

  • Developing and maintaining programme communication channels including managing shared mailboxes, and microsites.

  • Support with assessing business readiness readiness for change and identify interventions to embed the change within the business.

  • Assisting the Business Change Managers and Project Managers in providing transition support including any end-user role mapping and hypercare support.

  • Working hand-in-glove with the System Implementation (SI) Partner, and their Change Management capability, to ensure that they are fully supported to successfully deliver the change.

All colleagues will have to work together as a team, supported by leadership, to deliver this programme. This also means there may be times when everyone has to support other workstreams at peak load times.

What we’re looking for from you:

We’re looking for a Change and Communications Analyst who is eager to learn and develop their experience in a large scale and complex programme.

  • Prior experience of working on business change projects or programmes.

  • Understanding of business Change Management methodologies, tools and techniques (preferably PROSCI although specific methodologies are not mandated).

  • Experience of undertaking business change impact assessments and devising relevant change interventions.

  • Understanding of business change communication practices and has written copy, designed and developed materials and delivered in line with planned dates.

  • Competent in use of data analysis tools such as Excel use for quantitative analysis, for example using pivot tables, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with effective time Management and prioritisation.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills - ability to communicate with people, both verbally and in writing, to senior management level.

  • Experience of working sensitively and proactively with people experiencing change, helping them to appreciate benefits and to support their journey through the change curve

  • A proactivity to be curious; pre-empt issues, challenge, ask the right questions and propose solutions rather than wait for answers.
