Our partner is a young international grants making organisation, supporting the work of not for profits in the UK and overseas. They are seeking the support of an experienced grants finance manager; the successful individual will work with the programmes teams, helping them in managing the financial aspects of the grants.
Responsibilities
- Undertake due diligence on new grantees, and review the budgets and financial reports submitted by existing grantees, undertaking spot checks and audits as required.
- Acting as a finance business partner to the programmes team, supporting them in managing financial aspects of the grants, including supporting in the use of the grants management system.
- Reviewing and ensuring that strong controls and governance are in place for grants making, management and reporting.
- Support in building partner capacity as identified and required.
- Support with accounting and reporting as required.
Requirements
- Qualified or QBE accountant, with grants finance experience working in a grants making environment, and working in an international context, specifically with partners based in the EU, Africa and Asia.
- Strong analytical skills, able to manage large datasets, analyse complex information.
- Strong business partner, able to work with programmes and other non-finance staff with ease.
- Flexible able to manage a varied workload.
- Strong written (including report writing) and oral communication skills.
An immediate start is preferred. This a 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension. Whilst ideally, they would like someone working full-time, they will be able to accommodate a candidate working 4 days/week. This role is open to someone with the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship. They offer hybrid working, with the successful individual expected to be in the office at least 2 days/week.
