Chartered Accountant, £30-60k doe, for entrepreneurial, modern, forward thinking, start-up accountancy firm, Brighton, East Sussex, hybrid working.

If you are ACA/ACCA qualified or nearly qualified, ambitious, and have strong knowledge of FRS 102 1A and FRS 105, we want to meet you. Our client specialises on Technology start-ups & scale ups, high net worth individuals, Property, Talent, and Crypto clients.

The ideal person we're looking for will have experience in managing a portfolio, however wanting more from their current career, without being micromanaged.

Daily Responsibilities:

• You'll provide sound accounting advice and consulting services. Providing advice and insight on financial data is a key part of the role.
• Responsible for Reviewing and the submission of VAT returns
• Reviewing Yearend financial accounts prepared by assistant managers and juniors (ST, LTD & LLP's)
• Prepare/Review corporate and personal tax returns and assist in providing high level tax advisory services
• Prepare budgets and cashflow forecasts
• Prepare Management Accounts and other management information for business owners and managers.
• Have good technical VAT and personal tax knowledge and can keep knowledge refreshed through CPD
• Generating leads and onboarding new clients. Also attending networking and social events is an important part of the role.

We operate a paperless office using cloud-based systems, Xero, Dext, Futrli and Fathom expertise desirable.

Chartered Accountant must have the following expertise:

• ACCA / ACA qualified with extensive experience in accountancy practice.
• Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 1A and FRS 105
• A strong focus and attention to detail
• Proactive approach to work prioritisation and time management
• Effective communicator, both verbal and written

Chartered Accountant will be based from our Brighton office, offering a salary of between £30-60k doe. There are three roles available within this salary range. Core hours are Monday-Friday 9.30-2.30pm but option to work outside of their hours depending on your circumstances, 36-hour week, free parking, profit share scheme, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holiday, pension.
