We are looking for a professional Chef de Partie to join our team in Carriages to compliment our fine dining experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic chef who has a real passion and flare for food and takes the upmost pride in the food that is served to our customers.As a Chef de Partie, you will be:Setting up the kitchen prior to the restaurant opening.Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available.As food orders come into the kitchen start preparing the portions of the order in your section.Control and manage stock.Wrapping unuseditems andstoring them in proper areas at the end of the shift.Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurantcloses.Enforces strict health and hygiene standards.The ideal candidate will have/be:
Previous experience in a Chef de Partie role.Proven experience in prep and culinary skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Proven excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.Ability to multi tasks and work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced environment.Knowledge of best cooking practices.Proven organisational skills.Proven listening and communication skills as well as written skills.Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures.Proven effective time management skills.Ability to solve problems quickly.Food Hygiene certificate.Ability to be flexible with working hours.
