Job Description
- Develop and execute creative and innovative pastry and dessert menus that delight our guests to standards set by the head/sous chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, and other baked goods with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all pastry offerings, adhering to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times
- Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate menu planning and ensure seamless execution of service.
- Oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and upkeep your designated area with supplies and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures.
- Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, handling, and cleaning procedures.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff to foster skill development and uphold pastry quality standards.
- Stay informed about current trends and techniques in pastry and baking, and incorporate new ideas into menu development.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, including dough preparation, decorating, and finishing.
- Creative flair and a passion for developing new and innovative pastry creations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with other kitchen staff and departments.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
