The company
Longueville Manor is the 1st and only 5 red star Hotel in the Channel Islands. It is situated a mile to the east of St. Helier, the capital of the Island of Jersey. The island is fringed with miles of sandy beaches and is frequently blessed with the longest hours of sunshine in the UK. Set in 17 acres of parkland, this 13th century Norman manor house has been lovingly restored and run as a hotel by the Lewis family for over 75 years.
Today, the hotel has 25 double rooms, 4 suites and a 2 bedroom cottage, with a 3AA rosette restaurant, which enjoys a strong local following as well as an international reputation and is the only Relais & Châteaux member in the Channel Islands.
Job description
The Chef De Partie Pastry role involves every aspect of hotel operations - bread making, a full range of pastries, jams, ice cream and handmade chocolates and petit fours, afternoon teas plus à la carte desserts, so experience in these areas are essential. It is also a unique opportunity to work in one of the UK's few self-sufficient pastry kitchens using local Jersey produce and homegrown produce from our renowned kitchen garden.
The ideal candidate will be a college trained, career minded chef with at least two years' experience working at a minimum of 2 AA rosette level.
Experience as a demi Chef De Partie in a pastry role essential
Experience in chocolate, ice cream, breads and pastries

£30160 per annum
Approximately £2400 per annum in tips
40 hours over a 5-day week
