Salary NRL are recruiting for a Chef to join us on an exciting opportunity supporting Outages around the UK. Our client are the leaders in facilities management across the EDF Nuclear sites, and outage workers will play an important role supporting the busy power station.
The role
The ideal candidate will be expected to manage their own workload and oversee the catering assistants in the canteen.
To be successful in this role previous chef experience is essential.
Rates of pay for this role range from £14.96 to £26.60 an hour dependent on the hours worked aswell as £60 a day to cover fees for lodge.
Working an Outage requires working 10-12 hour shifts for 6 days on and 1 day off.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out various duties inside the Power Station which include the following:
- Cooking hot food
- Keeping areas clean and tidy
- Adhering to health and safety standards on site
Good communication skills are essential when dealing with the client and other members of the site.
To gain access to Nuclear sites you are required to undergo CTC clearance, which will be processed by NRL for the successful candidate. This requires completing a DBS application and providing the previous 3 years of your employment history.
