Location: Ventnor Drunken Lobster & Ventnor Smoking Lobster
Work at the Island’s Best Restaurant for 2021 and 2022, on the beautiful Ventnor seafront, or Drunken Lobster in Ventnor town. Smoking Lobster is a first-class seafood restaurant, serving delicious dishes which celebrate local produce, through a Pan-Asian lens.
Featuring in Ainsley Harriott and Grace Dent’s “Best of Britain by the Sea”, Smoking Lobster’s lobster was declared the “Best Lobster I’ve ever had” by food critic Grace.
Smoking Lobster is looking for ambitious chefs who are keen to work with and learn from the best chefs on the island, and help drive forward their excellent standards, bringing their authentic offering to locals and tourists alike.

Your day-to-day:
- Assisting the Head Chef in providing the highest standard of cooking and service in all areas
- Cooking to spec, adhering to all menus and portion control, and recording wastage
- Taking deliveries, storing food items, and completing temperature checks
