Azalea expresses unconditional care towards all who are impacted by sex trafficking, offering a 360-degree solution-based approach to women being sex trafficked, men active in sex purchasing and local communities suffering the consequences. As a growing charity, Azalea is looking to add to its staff team a personable and efficient facilities offier with prior experience in delivering hard and soft facilities services, to work closely with Azalea's senior leadership team in managing and maintaining operational facilities at Azalea's Luton office to ensure the continued delivery of Azalea's frontline services to beneficiaries.
Responsibilities will include:
- overseeing and agreeing on contracts and providers for services, including cleaning, refuse collection and disposal, IT (through a managed service provider), utilities and Telecoms
- ensuring the premises are clean and tidy (usually outsourced to contract cleaners)
- contributing to the preparation of and working within the annual maintenance and services budget
- ensuring data access for all staff
- maintaining an up-to-date list of all providers and key contacts
- ensuring that facilities meet government regulations, Health & Safety and Security standards and energy efficiency requirements
- overseeing physical and electronic post into and out of the office
- overseeing building projects and renovations
- occasional installation of white goods/furniture donations as required
- overseeing future relocation (if applicable)
- supporting relationships with the landlord and neighbouring tenants
- responding to and coordinating general maintenance requirements
- coordinating facilities aspects of room hire agreements
- ordering of stocks and supplies as required
- fire safety and compliance with all fire safety legislation
- first aid training, fire drills and equipment checks
- set up of meeting room for events as required
- contributing to and maintaining operations policies
- management of motor vehicles; tax, licensing, MOT, servicing and Insurance
- any other duties in line with the general responsibilites of the post as required.
- be an active member of staff meetings
Personal Qualities:
- prior experience (at least 3 years) in facilities delivery
- agreement to work under our Vision and Values and Policies and Procedures
- Utter transparency concerning past personal vulnerabilities regarding health issues, mental and physical problems, past addictions and work-related issues or weaknesses that could affect performance
- willingness to be available outside standard working hours in the event of an emergency or for occasional events management
- confident IT skills
- good written and verbal skills
- Reliable, adaptable, flexible.
