SalaryWe are an ambitious charity established within the city of Plymouth since 2001. We provide services citywide for those whose lives are affected both directly and indirectly by problematic relationships with alcohol and other substances. This is an exciting time to join our organisation as our new Chief Executive. The scope of our work and demand for services has grown considerably over the years, answering the needs we see within our communities.
The new CEO will play a vital role in shaping the future, providing vision and strategic direction for the charity, as well as taking responsibility for all aspects of operational management including business planning, income generation, effective delivery of contracts, projects and services and oversight of operational support including IT, HR, and finance.
Working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive and the Board, you will be leading the ongoing development and delivery of an inspirational vision for the future. Effectively engaging staff, volunteers, and external partners and stakeholders, whilst continuing to secure new funding streams which will be key to your success.
You will be an advocate and champion for equality, diversity, and inclusion for our clients, staff, and volunteers alongside ensuring equity for those requesting services. Reducing wherever possible the power imbalance between the “helped and the helper”.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience and passion for leading and enabling teams to thrive and develop.
- Business and financial acumen with a track record of successful business development income generation and income diversification
- Comprehensive strategic business planning and ability to deliver on key targets both strategically and operationally.
- Strong relationship building networking and influencing of external partners and stakeholders
- To ensure that those choosing our service are at the heart of all decisions made.
Our new CEO will be someone who can confidently and expertly lead our service with insight, compassion and empathy to make a difference to the lives of those choosing our services.

Salary Range £55k-£65k depending on experience.
