Salary: £200,000 - £300,000 + generous discretionary bonus & wider benefits

Our client is a privately owned global investment group and owner of over 100,000 acres of land in remote areas of Scotland. They are seeking a COO/Head of Estate Management to drive a £100 - £200m residential/commercial/leisure real estate development project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the estate management team, overseeing development projects, optimizing estate assets, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. This role requires a seasoned executive with expertise in estate management, project management, investor relations and government liaisons.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive estate management strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and growth targets.
- Lead, inspire, and guide a cross-functional team to ensure efficient estate operations and successful project delivery.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the value and utility of the estate through commercial, residential, and industrial development.
- Implement sustainable practices and innovative solutions to optimize land usage and maximize profitability.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of estate development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and risk management, making strategic adjustments as necessary.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential investors, securing capital and partnership agreements.
- Collaborate with government representatives and regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits, licences, and approvals for estate development projects.
- Stay abreast of relevant legislation and policies, advocating for the company's interests.
- Develop and implement robust financial models and business plans.
Requirements:
- Proven senior leadership experience in estate management and development, including a track record of successfully managing projects with budgets of £100m+
- Strong background in project management.
- Track record of securing investments and managing investor relations for substantial projects.
- Proficiency in government relations and permitting processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a history of building and maintaining positive relationships.
- Commercial acumen, ideally with exposure to diverse industries, including steel or similar sectors.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovative solutions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- A bachelor's degree in business, real estate management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
