We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join the operations directorate.
Main duties of the job
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a senior leadership role for DHCW, reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, responsible for implementing and running the enterprise Information Security program across NHS Wales. This will involve identifying, evaluating, mitigating and reporting on legal, regulatory, commercial, digital, data and technology risks in a cyber security context, while enabling and advancing business objectives. The CISO will play a key role in working with executive leadership within DHCW and across NHS Wales and Welsh Government to determine and manage to acceptable levels of cyber risk for the system as a whole.

Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders is essential to ensuring we understand, listen, and respond to needs. We work in collaboration with health boards and trusts, public bodies, Welsh Government, social care and community services, academia, industry, and the public.
You will support Operations to work with openness and transparency, developing effective strategic partnerships, networks, and forums to enable successful collaborative working ensuring that we advance our business objectives.
This role requires a proactive and passionate individual, able to work autonomously in a complex environment, and highly focused on achieving results.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
