The Chief Constable invites applications for anticipated Chief Inspector vacancies within the Ministry of Defence Police, from substantive Chief Inspectors and those who have served at least 12 months at substantive Inspector for consideration for promotion to Chief Inspector.
Applications are invited from eligible officers in order to identify suitable candidates for posts which are expected to arise within 12 months following the interview stage.
Serving police officers and police officers who have left policing no more than 36 months ago at point of application are invited to apply.
Applicants applying as a substantive Chief Inspector must have served in the rank of Chief Inspector or higher. Applicants should be able to evidence a credible and relevant policing record.
Applicants must be a sole British National and British Passport holder and willing to undergo security vetting clearance to Developed Vetting level. Applicants will also be subject to police vetting and pre-employment medicals prior to an offer of employment.
Applicants must hold a valid UK manual driving licence and be able to satisfy all other elements of the recruitment eligibility criteria as detailed on our website.
Applicants will be required to pass a multistage fitness test to level 5.4 (15m test) in line with the National Role Profile fitness level applicable to the role/rank.
