Chief Operating Officer

Are you an experienced COO looking for a new opportunity to impact a fast-paced, growing business.....that isn't PE/VC backed?  

I've been retained by a Top 50 Accountancy Practice to hire a Chief Operating Officer in a newly-created role to support the CEO.  The business is in an incredibly enviable position.  They've doubled in size over the past 5 years (£30M+ turnover), with around half of that growth being organic, with the remainder through acquisition.  They have zero debt & a very impressive balance sheet, with plenty of cash in the bank.  On top of that their client retention is >95% & their staff retention is high.

The CEO is incredibly astute (a great guy to boot) & not one to rest on his laurels, which is evident in the fact that he's currently in numerous talks regarding additional acquisitions.  So, whilst this is all incredibly positive, they're in danger of experiencing growing pains - which is where you come in.

We're looking for a Chief Operating Officer with a track record of growing fast-paced businesses.  We're not interested in what sector(s) your experience has been within, what's more important is that you have driven positive change across a high-growth business.  Broadly speaking this will involve driving profitability, monitoring performance across the group, integrating internal systems & processes, uniting key stakeholders, being an instrumental voice in strategy meetings & ensuring mergers & acquisitions go through as smoothly as possible.
