Summary: 

C&C Group is a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of premium branded cider, beer, wine, and soft drinks.  Our C&C brands include Tennent’s (Scotland’s favourite beer), Bulmers (Ireland’s No 1 cider) and, Magners as well as a growing portfolio of super-premium and craft beers and ciders, such as Menabrea and Orchard Pig. 

The Chief Technology Officer is a strategic leadership role and sits on the Executive Committee. This is a critical role and an opportunity for someone who wants to seize the reins and become the driving force behind the future of our technology. You will drive change with a focus on improvement, and deliver measurable success across our technology, and digital land scape, while thriving in a dynamic work environment that values diversity and promotes professional growth. As a key player in the business, you will drive strategic impact, business integration, and organisational capability building, making a significant impact on the company's success and your own career. You will guide the Executive Team in shaping the technological direction of C&C Group and foster a culture of excellence and innovation within your technology team.  

 

About the Role: 

As a key member of the Executive Committee reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will be instrumental in developing and leading the organisation-wide technology strategy and roadmap for C&C Group. The successful candidate will lead our technology team to cultivate a culture of delivery, innovation, and excellence while simplifying our IT architecture to support overall business strategy and enhance customer service. 

Strategic thinking is key as you will develop and communicate the technology strategy aligning with our overall business objectives.  You will also manage and optimise technology resources and budgets to achieve strategic objectives. 

Collaboration internally is vital as you will need to build strong partnerships with senior leaders across the business with the aim to provide high-quality advice and guidance to support business strategy and plans enterprise wide. 

We are looking for a motivational and inspirational leader who can lead and mentor the technology team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.  You will also support your team as they create performance objectives and ensure accountability for achieving annual business objectives. 

Planning and organisation skills will be vital as you will architect and ensure the technology stack is secure and aligned with the overall business strategy.  Financial acumen is important as well as you will manage the Technology budget to drive measurable improvement in customer satisfaction. 

As Leader of Tech and Transformation you will leverage data analytics to drive decision-making across the business.  You will promote a technology literacy and innovation culture among employees and stakeholders. 

Performance management and providing excellent service will be important as you will swiftly manage performance issues to minimise impact on business and customers.  You will also drive service excellence and performance to agreed KPIs. 

Future thinking and ability to look at organisational capability will be high on the agenda as you will need to identify and prioritise capabilities needed to meet current and emerging business needs.  You will evaluate and address gaps to future-proof the company's technical capabilities. 

Partnering across the business will be crucial as you will design, develop, and deliver business systems for our Ireland and GB businesses.  You will also ensure seamless integration across the business to enhance service to internal and external customers. 

 

About You: 

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in technological leadership, strategy development, and innovation, preferably within an FMCG or similar-sized enterprise at a senior leadership level.  

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of technology trends, architectures, security, and best practices.  

Previous experience  of operating a CTO in a technology-centric environment with a focus on efficiency improvement and delivering high-quality services to customers is essential.
