Child Development Team Coordinator - Full-time - 37.5 hours per week – Permanent
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with administration experience to join our team within the Paediatric Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead.
Overall responsibility for providing an efficient administrative support service to the Child Development team to meet internal and external standards/performance indicators
Provides support to Child Development team clinicians (e.g., managing clinics and diaries, organising meetings
Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.

Attend regular meetings.
Main point of contact for patient and third parties (e.g., other clinicians and services, GP’s, School, health visitors) to resolve queries, respond to requests for information or notify third party of information as required by clinicians.
Manage waiting list for Child Development clinic.
Oversee the smooth running of nominated clinics; managing and maximising capacity, cancellations & rescheduling, arranging additional clinics and urgent patient appointments (
Liaising with internal and external teams to gather information.
Provide a high-quality clinical typing service as delegated by the Senior Medical Secretary, including; clinic instructions/outcomes, minutes from meetings, populate information into report templates, type ward rounds, update routine information in procedural documents etc.
Action tasks arising from typing; including updating systems, outcome codes, completing required documentation such as, internal re-referral, and escalate to the Senior Medical Secretary for resolution if required.
