Children & Families Team Support Officer
Contract Type: Fixed Term post until 31.03.2025 due to funding
Hours: Part Time 22 hours per week
Location of post: Hybrid working, Port Talbot Civic Centre base
Workstyle: You will be an a mobile hybrid worker
We are currently looking for a motivated and creative individual to join our team as Children & Families Team Support Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to all aspects of the busy Children & Families Team.
The main duties of the post;
- Updating and maintaining the service database and other data recording systems.
- Data collection, collation and submission of statistical information for Welsh Government
- Processing and payment of invoices, maintaining and updating financial records and using the iProc online ordering system.
- Answering telephone calls and queries.
- Word processing, arranging meetings and taking minutes
- Creation of a range of promotional materials, including posters and social media.
- Ordering resources and arranging venues for parenting programmes and other events.
You will have experience in/of;
- Providing clerical and administrative support to a team.
- Using a range of IT, including Microsoft Office, databases and social media.
- Using initiative in work situations.
- Working to deadlines and managing own workload.
Ideally you will have;
- A minimum of four GCSEs (grades A-C), or equivalent
- Other relevant training or evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
The team provides a range of support to parents, including parenting programmes and at-home support to help with issues such as behaviour and routines, as well as ensuring delivery of our Play Sufficiency Assessment. The Support Officer is an important part of the team, providing high quality, accurate and timely administrative support.
