Hays Social Care are currently recruiting Children Residential Care and Support Workers on behalf of a client based in Newark, Nottinghamshire. This will involve caring for young people with English Language, EBD, Autism and other related challenging behaviours within a residential home.
Your new role
- Providing high quality Care and Support for children and young people, identifying needs and preferences for each individual
- Establishing positive relationships with young people
- Ensuring that each young person's Care and Support plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs
- Providing Care and Support, day to day activities, days out and group trips
- Ensuring children and young people are given opportunities to achieve their full potential and offer Care and Support and encouragement for daily living
- Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural and educational needs of young people
- Acting as a role model and demonstrating appropriate pro-social ways of dealing with problems
What you\'ll need to succeed
- A minimum of six months experience in social Care and Support
- Proof of the right to work in the UK
- Full driver's license and access to a vehicle (desirable)
