Bridge2Future Care Group are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team within a specialist EBD Children’s Residential Home in the Bradford area. The role will require working shifts between the hours of 9.30am and 11pm on a rotational basis. There will also be a requirement to sleep in the home overnight for some shifts, for which you would receive a sleep-in supplement of £60 per shift. This is a full time position, which will require working 3 or 4 shifts per week on a rotational basis.

Our successful Residential Support Worker will need to possess the following skills and attributes:
- A Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this.
- Some relevant experience in working with Children and Young People that have social and emotional difficulties or behaviour that challenges.
- Great communication skills, empathy and patience
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence holder
- Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight
- At least 21 years of age
As a Residential Support Worker you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:
- Care and Support: Provide emotional, physical, and educational support to children and young people within a residential setting.
- Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the children, their families, and external professionals.
- Daily Activities: Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and effective care plan for each child.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of individual progress, incidents, and other relevant information.
- Crisis Intervention: Responding calmly and effectively to crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children remains paramount at all times.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
If you have previously worked as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Support Worker, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Room Leader or similar, then this position may be ideal for you.
