Job Role: Childrens Social Worker – MASH
Can you provide expert advice and support to our Children’s Services MASH Team on a variety of complex cases identifying the correct intervention for the Children and family. Description for Internal Candidates About You Substantial experience as a Social Worker (e.g. minimum 3 years), including child protection work. Experience of preparing detailed reports for child protection conferences, Courts, Panels, senior managers and Members. Experience of working with children and families including complex assessments and statutory work. Experience of direct working with children and adults from vulnerable groups. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary inter agency basis and ability to negotiate on behalf of service users. Significant experience of court work. Substantial (e.g. minimum of 3 years) post qualification experience in a statutory setting. CQSW or CSS or DipSW. Evidence of post qualification study. Recent post qualification training in working with children & families and child protection e.g. PQ Child Care Award; AMP; Achieving Best Evidence. Practice teaching award or a willingness to undertake this training. Current Social Work England registration.
As a Social worker you must have a degree in Social work with a minimum 2 years post qualifying experience and passed your AYSE, experience in an NHS Establishment or a local authority is desirable.
To act in accordance with SWE registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.
To provide professional Social work assessments to support the commissioning process in line with care management and continuing care.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in Social work are essential to apply for this role.
