CITA Lead Strategic Intel Analyst

In our cybersecurity team you’ll be helping to safeguard the financial system on which millions of people depend.
You’ll be making banking more secure by designing, implementing, and operating controls to manage cybersecurity risk. You’ll help define HSBC Group cyber security standards, deliver Global Security Operations ad Threat management services, provide round-the-clock monitoring and security incident response services, and oversee Network/Application/Infrastructure Security. The work you do will provid3e assurance of the adequacy and effectiveness of security controls to Business Risk Owners.
 
The mission of HSBC’s global Cyber Intelligence and Threat Analysis (CITA) team is to conduct comprehensive investigations of malicious cyber actions to inform, educate, and advise HSBC and the broader cybersecurity industry.  Through continuous learning and participation in internal and external engagements, CITA empowers decision makers, emboldens defenses, and weakens our cyber adversaries.

In this role you will:
• Monitoring the global cyber threat landscape through open-source channels, raw-commercial datasets, participation in industry/government information sharing organisations/platforms, and cultivated personal relationships.
• Supporting the maintenance of a global capability for collection that considers market and business requirements and fully leverages the HSBC global footprint around location, culture, language, and proximity to high value partners.
• Leading the establishment of HSBC as a valued contributor to information sharing efforts across the industry that helps to drive a positive image of the bank with our peers and regulators in the markets we serve
• Leading the establishment of HSBC as a leader in information security through collaborative analysis and contributions across multiple sectors in industry, academia, and government.
• Leading the development of internal HSBC capabilities, leveraging the global HSBC footprint that enables the team to fully understand the latest tactics, techniques, and procedures of advanced adversaries through direct observation and manipulation.

Request

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Experience working in a Cybersecurity role, focused on the development of tools and reverse engineering of malware.
•Must have experience in Law Enforcement or simular background
• Advanced, demonstrable experience with Python 3 programming, including full stack web application development using frameworks like Fast API or Flask.
• Knowledge in developing and maintaining application programming interfaces (API) for various types of structured data.
• Experience with utilizing well known raw threat data sets and their application programming interfaces (APIs) to hunt for threats including post exploitation frameworks.
This role is based in Sheffield .
