Anti-social behaviour can have a serious impact on our quality of life.
Southampton City Council's community safety service is looking to recruit a City Welfare Warden to join an experienced team working to reduce anti-social behaviour across the city, with a particular focus on our commercial centres, car parks and open spaces.
The team work with closely with partners such as the police and housing services to tackle anti-social behaviour and unauthorised encampments, whilst supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our society, including rough sleepers. 
The role is varied and requires regular outdoor working and will include early starts as the team are responsible for opening up our multi-storey car parks and ensuring they are safe for people visiting the city. 
A City Welfare Warden will deal with a wide range of people and some challenging situations, so you will need an assertive, empathetic and confident personality. You should ideally have some investigation skills and experience of taking enforcement action. 

This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people who living, working or visiting the city.
