AddressJob – Civil Designer / Civil Design Engineer
Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for a multi-disciplinary engineering design consultancy that operate across the petrochemical sector.
Our client has been in operation for over 25 years and specialise in fuel storage, distribution systems, tank farms and bulk fuel terminals.
Due to an increased work load they are looking to engage a Civil Design Engineer or Design Technician to their Glasgow office.
The Job
The Civil Design Engineer will primarily be office based, however there will be regular site visits, these will be 90% UK based with irregular international meetings.
The role of Civil Design Engineer will see a range of activities including:
- Site surveys
- Detail Design
- Layouts
- Drainage design
- Carpark design
- RC base design for pipe supports
- Supervising contractors on site
The role will initially be for a 6-month period on a contract basis (out with IR35) with a potential permanent position if all parties agree.
The Person
You will have experience of working independently in a Engineering consultancy. All works are completed on AutoCAD, there is no need for 3D modelling capability.
You will be able to work full time in the office and you must have a valid UK drivers’ licence.
Start date will be ASAP pending successful interview.
