We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Engineer to join our team at our offices in Porthmadog, Gwynedd. We are looking for a colleague who is already within this position; or looking to take the next step in your career. Please note - this position is for a 10-week paid fixed-term contract over the course of the summer
Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Trainee Engineer will be part of a team delivering a project either on site or during the design stage. You will take a significant role in managing aspects of the work including safety, quality, time and cost.
On a day to day basis, the Trainee Engineer will be undertaking any of the following tasks:
- Reviewing drawings and planning the work
- Communicating the plans
- Overseeing work progress on site or through design
- Setting out
- Quality inspections
- Measurement and progress recording
- Innovating and proposing alternative solutions
- Budgets
- Valuations
- Supplier Liaison
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Trainee Engineer who is in receipt of the following:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Has a desire to earn whilst gaining valuable work experience in relevant sectors
- Is studying or plans to study an Engineering degree accredited by one of the major engineering institutions with the intention to become a Chartered Engineer
