Due to growth, our client’s C&S team has a need for multiple engineers to join their ranks, and are open to any civil or structural engineering background across All levels from Junior to Principal.
Role Purpose
With the team growing, these positions will provide you the opportunity to work in various sectors as part of an enthusiastic and committed team of engineers and technicians, where you will help develop the infrastructure capability of a growing Civil and Structural department.
Role Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of infrastructure design work on a range of project sizes
- Manage and deliver design packages to cost, schedule and quality criteria
- Be proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D and Microdrainage
- Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Relevant Degree and Chartered CIHT, ICE, IHE etc or working towards chartership
- Extensive experience of Autodesk Civil 3D, Microdrainage and AutoCAD
- A thorough understanding of earthworks design, below ground foul and surface water drainage design, pavement design, external works and 3D underground services co-ordination is required.
- You will have experience working in a multi-disciplinary team where you are able to take initiative and work independently, and be happy to mentor graduate and junior engineers
- Full UK drivers licence
- Technically competent in all aspects of Infrastructure design and co-ordination
- Experienced in discharging responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations
- Experience and knowledge of range of civil and structural design, including the following:
- Storm, foul and process drainage network design
- Attenuation solutions and / or specification
- Planning, designing and implementing SUDS
- Ground level modelling and underground services coordination using Civils 3D
- Flexible and rigid pavement design
- Independent liaison with statutory authorities
- Undertaking Private and Public Highways (S38), Adoptable Public Sewers (S104) and Highway Improvement Works (S278) agreements
- Project delivery within some of the sectors we operate within
- Full understanding and delivery of assurance/sign off requirements.
- Up to date with adoptable standards and practices.
- Proven track record of project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multidiscipline design team.
- Experience of using Bentley MicroStation and Revit would be beneficial.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
