Civil Technician required!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a motivated Civil Technician to join a reputable Engineering, Design and Surveying Consultancy, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Civil Engineering projects through the preparation of detailed drawings, plans and technical documentation. You will have the opportunity to work with Engineers, Surveyors and Planners on a range of projects. Our client is a respected Consultancy who specialise in various sectors, including, Transport Planning, Building Surveying and Civil, Highways and Structural Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Civil Engineering drawings using CAD software
• Translate design concepts into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings
• Assist in the production of plans, profiles, and cross-sections for Civil Engineering projects
• Collaborate with Engineers to incorporate design changes and modifications
• Support the Engineering team in quantity take-offs and calculations
• Ensure accuracy in material and cost estimates
• Maintain organised records of project drawings and documentation
• Coordinate with project managers to update and revise drawings as needed
• Work closely with Civil Engineers, Surveyors, and other team members
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support
• Conduct reviews of drawingsto ensure compliance with design standards and specifications
• Implement quality control measures in the drafting process
• Provide technical support to engineers during the design and construction phases
• Assist in resolving design-related issues

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field
• Proven experience as a Civil Technician in an Engineering or consulting environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
• Understanding of Civil Engineering principles and construction methods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes
