Search are currently working with a forward-thinking law firm as they continue to expand looking to add a full time Claims Handler to their RTA Claims team there has never been a better or more exciting time to join them.
Start date - ASAP
Salary - £27,000 DOE OTE £30,000 + and Great Benefits.
Working Hours - Full time - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm however they do offer flexible working can start earlier or later.
Location - Glasgow City Centre or Edinburgh - Hybrid after probation 3 days office and 2 days at home
About the role
- Managing Road Traffic Accident claims full end to end process
- Contacting third parties from a network of approved professionals and arranging for them to make repairs on the client's vehicle
- Preparing initial estimates of costs and closely monitoring and documenting a record of costs
- Maintaining an accurate, comprehensive and orderly file of documentation relating to the claim
- Liaising with third party insurers and negotiating the terms of a claim Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and receives excellent service
- Monitoring the progress of a claim
- Providing regular updates on the progress of a claim to clients and responding to client queries promptly
- Ensuring fair and commensurate settlement of a valid claim
- Achieving a fee earning target as set by the firm
- Adhering to legal requirements, industry regulations and company standards of service.
- Maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the requirements of the firm and GDPR.
About you
- Prior experience managing a high volume Road Traffic Accident cases
- Experience in determining liability, analysing engineer reports and credit hire is essential in order to be considered for this position.
- Experience managing claims full end to end process
- Strong communication skills verbal and written
- Knowledge of General insurance claims processes, legislation and protocol
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Working on own initiative and part of a team
