Full time Class Teacher to cover maternity leave
Temporary Post from September 2024 - August 2025
We are looking for an enthusiastic and effective teacher to join our friendly and committed team at St John’s Primary School in Wallingford. The temporary post is to cover maternity leave.
Our children are a joy to teach and love to learn and enjoy all aspects of school life. We can offer the opportunity to work with a team of talented and experienced teachers and support staff, in the heart of the community of Wallingford.
St John’s has a creative and engaging curriculum, and we place a love of learning at the heart of everything we do. We offer a broad range of experiences for the children outside the classroom through clubs, trips and residentials. We also place importance on developing the emotional wellbeing of our pupils and providing good pastoral support.
St John’s is part of the OPEN Umbrella Trust, a group of four forward thinking and collaborative primary schools in South Oxfordshire. We work together to build peer networks, including for ECTs, and provide exciting opportunities for sharing good practice with colleagues.
We are fortunate to have extremely supportive parents and committed governors who work closely with us to ensure the ongoing success of the school. We received a very positive Ofsted report in July 2023 and were graded ‘Good’.
We are looking for a team player who shares our aspirations for excellence in all aspects of school life. We would welcome applications from teachers on the main scale, including ECTs.
We would be happy to show you around our school; please make an appointment by phoning on: 01491 837305.
